Toronto in the summer bursts with vibrancy and excitement. From cheering on our favourite baseball team to having a picnic on Toronto Islands with a backdrop of the city skyline, there is something fun for everyone to explore! Here’s a list of some of our favourite things to do in the city this summer:
- Visit the Toronto Island: Explore the beach, rent a bike, or visit Centerville with the family!
- Attend a Music Festival: Electric Island features an amazing lineup of electronic music acts. It is an exciting way to experience the city's lively nightlife and beautiful views of Lake Ontario.
- Catch a Blue Jays game: we love cheering on our favourite team when the roof is open!
- Explore different neighbourhoods: Kensington Market & Distillery District buzz in the summer with creativity, good local eats and community spirit.
- Enjoy outdoor markets: St Lawrence market offers an array of fresh produce, crafts, jewelry and many unique finds.
- Visit High Park: Picnic, hike, or visit the zoo. If you’ve got a little one they will love the weekend train ride that goes through the entire park.
- Tour the CN Tower: Experience breathtaking views and take the EdgeWalk, a thrilling outdoor walkway around the tower's edge. The EdgeWalk is open year-round, but summer is the best time to visit when the weather is mild!
- Take a food tour: Sample delicious diverse cuisines in Chinatown, Little Italy or Greektown!
- Chill out on a patio: Patios in the city are always brimming with laughter, local craft bears and a good time!
- Visit the Scarborough Bluffs: Providing stunning views of Lake Ontario and ideal for swimming, sunbathing, and picnicking. Hiking trails offer scenic walks along the bluffs. It's a great spot for a sunset picnic or BBQ, with parking and easy access by public transit.
